I started this blog as a creative outlet for me to express my love of all things food, eating and cooking and to inject some strategic processes into dinner prep.  I’m the kind of person who loves good food but hates spending a ton of time in the kitchen.

Too many times I’ve come across stuff in cookbooks with ingredients I don’t even recognize, can’t get, and take a ton of time.  I love finding recipes that have real ingredients, are familiar staples, easy, kid friendly, and fast. My absolute favorite thing to do is making something special out of scraps in a bare cabinet in under 30 minutes.

So my goal for this site is to feature everyday real food at home with everyday ingredients you can find at grocery stores that can be made in a pinch. Also my recipes will be realistic stuff, stuff you can pronounce, stuff you recognize, and stuff you can get kids to eat….or try. This blog is dedicated to the mighty home cooks of the world, the single/solo parents, and the multi-taskers.

I’m no school trained chef, but I am a chef of life.  I have “advanced tastebuds” which makes me more than qualified to write this blog.  Also many years of trial and error, lots of error, have provided me with all the – on the job training – I could ever need.  LOL.

So that’s my story and I am sticking with it. Happy cooking!
